From Small Beginnings
Five years ago, Allara Support Services began with one clear vision: to create a service where people with disabilities feel seen, valued, and genuinely supported to live life their way.
Founded by Rachel Carey in 2020, Allara was born from more than a decade of experience in the disability sector. During that time, Rachel saw first-hand how many services focused on systems and processes but often forgot about the person at the centre of it all.
She wanted to do things differently.
Rachel set out to build an organisation that leads with heart, where participants are treated as individuals, not numbers. A place where support workers are empowered, not burnt out. And a team that celebrates every milestone, no matter how big or small.

What began as a small local team with a shared dream from Rachel’s home office has grown into a trusted NDIS provider with participants and staff across NSW, all connected by the same belief: that everyone deserves to live life their way.

Our Journey So Far
In five short years, we’ve achieved so much together.
- Supported numerous participants to live more independently, confidently, and connected to their communities.
- Opened beautiful, purpose-built SIL homes designed with comfort, safety, and accessibility at heart.
- Built a passionate team of SIL managers, support workers, and nurses who bring warmth and understanding to their roles every day.
- Partnered with families, allied health professionals, and community organisations to provide holistic, wrap-around care.
- Expanded our services to include SIL-At-Home and Nursing Services, ensuring participants get the right support, wherever they are.
Through every milestone, one thing has never changed — our commitment to person-centred care, delivered with compassion and respect.

As we celebrate this milestone, we’re looking forward to the next chapter with excitement and purpose. The future for Allara means:
