Last Wednesday, Allara, MyLife, and HireUp came together at our brand new Schofields site. 🩷

Rebecca, our incredible Senior SIL Manager, kicked things off by sharing how we do things at Allara - with heart, hustle, and a whole lot of care. From there, MyLife and HireUp gave us the lowdown on what they do, sparking great convos and future collabs.

Love seeing strong partnerships in action! 💙 #TeamAllara #SILDoneRight

Did you know that 1 in 100 people will experience schizophrenia in their lifetime?

Yet, many of us still carry misconceptions about it. It’s time to set the record straight.

Schizophrenia is a chronic brain disorder that affects a person’s ability to think, feel, and behave. It can manifest as a range of symptoms, including hallucinations, delusions, disorganised thinking and speech and a lack of motivation or emotional expression.

Schizophrenia is often misunderstood, with myths like people with it being violent or having multiple personalities. The truth? People with schizophrenia are more likely to be victims of violence, not the other way around. And it doesn’t mean someone has split personalities – the term comes from the Greek word for “fractured mind.”

Symptoms like psychosis, where it’s hard to tell what’s real, are common, but with the right support, many people go on to live fulfilling and meaningful lives.

Let’s break the stigma together and talk about it openly. 💬

Congratulations to our Support Worker of the Month for April — Karen! ⭐️

Karen shows up with compassion, dedication, and genuine care in every moment. Whether she’s cooking a nourishing meal, helping with hair and makeup, or simply being there with a comforting presence — she does it all with warmth and heart.
She’s the calm in the chaos, a true team player, and a shining example of our values: “We’ve got you… You are now our family.”

We’re so lucky to have you, Karen! 🩷
